What do you have against burning couches?

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

Follow the money....it's not there. Too many other good options

Re: WVU to the ACC?

Jul 31, 2017, 8:34 AM

Not happening. ACC would have already added WVU if they wanted to. They don't. Nothing more need be said.

We already have WVA. It's called Louisville.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Correct.

Yes! Kick out lowest academic school - UNCheat. Let WVU in now.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No thank you

Jul 31, 2017, 8:47 AM

The first half of that post illustrates pretty well why the ACC doesn't want them either.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

this should've happened a long time ago but we chose BC

Jul 31, 2017, 9:25 AM

instead. They tried to act like WVU didn't have the academics to qualify to be an ACC team yet we took Louisville some years later. WVU should've been selected instead of BC. Or when Cuse came in with Pitt. We should have taken them. They bring more to the table sports wise than BC or Cuse.

Their fans are as bad as UGA and NC State***

Worse.

Jul 31, 2017, 9:33 AM

And with considerably worse academics and market size as well.

I think they would need to be a perennial football power (like consistently top 15) to justify all of that baggage, and they just aren't that right now. There's a chance Holgorsen doesn't even survive the season.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If I'm the ACC,,,

Jul 31, 2017, 9:47 AM

the ONLY WAY I consider further expansion right now is by convincing Notre Dame to join as an "all sports" member and then adding Penn State.

Worse. I was there at the Orange Bowl.

Nm

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

at least they exist. BC and Cuse fans are nonexistent.

Jul 31, 2017, 10:39 AM [ in reply to Their fans are as bad as UGA and NC State*** ]

Cuse carries basketball fans but BC is a ghost town.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm convinced the decision to add BC to the league...

Jul 31, 2017, 12:39 PM

had more to do with John Swofford's son working for the school than anything else.

If ND ever joins, Navy will be the final team.

Jul 31, 2017, 11:20 AM

It let's ND keep them on the schedule and along with all the Catholics ,The ACC Network will be going after all the retired Navy men. It's about eyes on the TV ,Catholics and Retired Navy Men are Nationwide.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Cut ties with ND, bring in WVU and Penn St

Jul 31, 2017, 11:34 AM

.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Never happen.

Jul 31, 2017, 11:37 AM

ND is a valuable asset for the ACC Network with Catholics being Nationwide.

Re: WVU to the ACC?

Jul 31, 2017, 11:37 AM

I guess I wouldn't mind it but they would equal numbers and maybe force NF to be in ACC at football so we can have even all around. Going to make basketball harder if so but they will be god with Grier as their qb if it wasn't the roids plus we can get revenge every year or couple years for that orange bowl wvu will forget all about that after bout 4 a$$ whipping.

Re: WVU to the ACC?

Jul 31, 2017, 12:13 PM

It's a sad thing to say, but USUC should try to get back into the ACC. I know academics would be a problem, but they have a big (but ignorant) fan base that follows them religiously, and a large stadium. USUC will never, ever have a prayer of accomplishing anything in the SEC, and surely even the REALLY dumb ones can figure that out by now. If the ACC is considering WVU, I'd rather have USUC and give us another conference win each year.

Re: WVU to the ACC?

Jul 31, 2017, 12:52 PM

Forget WVU and go for Cincy. Much better school and better fan base. Also TV market is better.

Can we just stop this thread now?

This is when things go too far ... Cincy to ACC. Because they bring lots of championships, history and ...

Wut??!

Re: WVU to the ACC?

Jul 31, 2017, 6:35 PM

Ugh, WVU is loathsome.

I'd rather take one of the growing Florida schools if academics don't matter.
like USF or UCF. Give us another good road trip, at least.
