Virus on tigernet?

Lately when I click on a link on the homepage, mobile site, I immediately get redirected to what appears to be a spam site. The only way out is to close my browser app and reopen usually happens a few times before I'm ever directed to the original link I was trying to view.

Only happens in this site... what's the deal here?

Can we get a ruling from the site managers? It's beyond irritating

Hey Doug, sorry to hear you are getting redirects

It's not a virus, but these 'redirects' as we call them are inserted into regular ads delivered by all ad networks. It's a very small percentage which makes them hard to trace (since we can't recreate them on demand). I would suggest clearing your browser cookies which can help. We literally spend thousands on software to help block them and that software is getting better all the time, so hopefully one day soon they will be gone.

Sorry for the problem and know that we are always looking for new ways to stop them.

Also, would suggest using google chrome browser

as it's the best at blocking them. The worst offenders are the facebook app browser and safari.

Perhaps using a reputable Ad network is the better route. I unliked you guys on Facebook because of it. I always use private mode in my browser and I clear my Facebook cache regularly. It's not me, it's you.

Believe me, I wish it was as simple as that

Most of our ads are served by Google. The other companies we use are all very large and have great reputations. It's an industry wide problem, but only shows up on sites that you visit most frequently.
