That means there's more money on that other team. On a low profile game like this (nationally speaking), that means the sharps are betting against Vandy.

More bets are being made on SCar.
More money is going to Vandy.
It's reverse action. More likely the sharps are betting on Vandy and bookies are adjusting their numbers to get more action on SCar.

Lol...I have only bet one time on college football and that was the NC game. Thank goodness a fellow in Vegas took mercy on me and my Dad and explained it to us.

If the line is Vandy -3.5, and the line moves to Vandy -4.5 (like it did), then too many people are betting on Vandy, and the chicken fans need to man up and bet on the Boom to bring the line back down.
A bookies' goal is to have just as much money on one side at the other. The bookie clears 10% of the money due to the way betting is done (bet 110 to win 100). Bookies don't like to see the betting get too lop-sided 'cause they might stand to lose money in certain situations.

vegas tells you the percentage of people betting, but not the percentage of $$ bet. This gives them an a slight advantage. They only want even $$ they couldn't care less who wins or how many people are betting
