It was a combination of things

UVA plays great defense
one VT player was on fire against us
Clemson shot 5e ball poorly

Up until the game became a FT contest, one guy—a true freshman in his first college game— scared over half their points. If we had held him to, say, 15 points, we win by double digits.

But we had no defensive answer for him.

Bennett does. He has a veteran club with lots of game tape.

UVA plays very slowly

severely limit opponent's possessions

and they still play good defense

but they struggle to be effective scoring

they went 4-25 from 3 (16%) 9 of 27 against the Tigers

only took 38 shots (57 against the Tigers)
