Update on my car situation

So the collision center said that the car was totaled. $9100 in damages. The insurance company sent their own guy out there and he came up with only $5500 in damages. They're gonna repair it. Then they came up with a clause in his insurance policy that says they don't have to pay for a rental car for me because that wasn't covered in his insurance. I've already contacted a lawyer. Apparently either he's going to have to pay it or my insurance company is.

This is turning into a cluster. Can I go back and see him in time to stop before he hit me?

was hit in the back by another car. She had a few hundred dollars in doctor bills. That is when I learned that a " No Fault" insurance state sux big time. Because my daughter had insurance in South Carolina, my insurance had to pay. If she had not had insurance, the other driver would have paid.
