because it leaves out the 2nd best team if it's in the same division as 1st place team. Kinda like how the Seattle Seahawks made the playoffs @ 7-9 but a 10-6 Tampy Bay team wqas left out 2 years ago.

There's a three way tie at the top of the Coastal. That makes the tiebreaks a bit complicated. UNC would have gone over both Miami and GT, if they were eligible . Miami would have gone over GT if they hadn't passed it up. The ACCCG would have been a great success if UNC were in it. And they could have cashed in on a second FSU-Miami game if Miami had gone. The conference is losing out on a ton of money either way by having GT in this game.

This issue here is that the first 2 teams were ineligible. This should make it possible to institute a rule for all conferences that if the lead school forgoes its opportunity to compete in the conference championship games the teams with the 2 best records play for the championship.

the Coastal teams not performing well and their two best breaking the rules? People aren't staying away from this game because the ACC has no good team, it's just that FSU had is disappointed about losing to Florida and the Coastal's third best team is in this game.

For ? years, he has placed no emphasis of football. Years have gone by while GT, WF, MD, UVA, etc. let their facilities slide into oblivion. He said nothing. All he cares about is basketball. Most of the teams in this conference won't spend the money to play big boy football. This is what you get.

Actually, for the record, all of those schools have spent a ton of money upgrading their football facilities over over recent years. That's part of the reason that UMD's athletic department is so far in the red.
GT spent $75 million and finished renovations and an expansion of their stadium in 2003.
Maryland spent $50 million and finished renovations and an expansion of their stadium in 2009.
WF spent $48 million and finished renovations and an expansion of their stadium in 2008.
UVA spent $86 million and finished renovations and an expansion of their stadium in 2000.
Unfortunately, improved facilities did not make them better at football.

the Presidents of member institutions gave him free reign!! These people are as much to blame as Swofford, they fell for his BS about academics and now they all have mud on their faces by accepting Louisville, lowest rating of current and future ACC schools!!! Also, approving Notre Dame without a full membership was hogwash, too. Swofford recommended these items, but the UNIVERSITY PRESIDENTS had to approve it....ummm Barker!!
