And the Tigers putting a TD or a FG on the board to win it?
Unfortunately, it almost appears that this would have been viewed in a more positive light. Especially if we scored the TD.

This is not just said for you but for the hundred others on this board who are still posting things like this.
Why on Earth does any Clemson fan still care about how the UNC game was perceived by the masses?
We are still averaging beating our schedule by 35 points per game, undefeated, and still ranked in the top 4 in the country.
There is no chance that there will be more than 4 undefeated teams at the end of the season.
Win and we are in.
In and our team gets to defend our title.
Why does the Sunday-Friday conversation still have some so worked up?

Not really concerned. Just asking the question on a quote Friday.
Win and the Tigers are in. So not really to concerned.
That all being said. Hope we win out and the Heels get to the ACCCG for a rematch.

we got a lot of media attention because our WTAF game occurred early in the schedule.
after that:
Georgia lost a game in which they were heavily favored.
Wisconsin lost a game in which they were heavily favored.
Oklahoma lost a game in which they were heavily favored.
and now the media acts like it's okay, this happens to everybody, and these teams still have a chance to make it in the top 4.
(but not Clemson if they ever actually lose.)

While it's true that there seems to be an unhealthy preoccupation with Clemson's perceived weaknesses, the media has to suck up to the different fan bases. They don't want to build up the same four or five teams every year and turn every on else off. Hence, teams like Georgia, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State and Minnesota are still considered top contenders. As long as the Tigers win out, we's in.

It’s hard to give an intelligent answer to a stupid question about something that never happened. I think most of the people on here who ask these dumb, unanswerable questions are either extremely bored or just looking for attention. Kind of like all the unfunny comedians on Tigernet. I joined Tigernet in 2000 and it was a great site. Sadly all the posters from back then like JJansen, Sterling, GoJackets et al never post anymore. Back then everyone contributed to the site, not just 17% like today. Too many freeloaders today.
This was a great site to discuss all things related to Clemson when it was started. Now it is filled with mostly silly inane drivel.
