that he was ready to go into the game last night. However, there was not a good separation in the score to get him in.
He will be ready to go for the weaks on Thursday night.

I'm not sure it's the threat of re injury as much as not having taken live hits in a game in several years. The coaches obviously don't want to let him get some time after a game is well in hand before risking a fumble.
