I was surprised to see that Tua did it in less pass attempts too.

However, ETN et al. have had more success on the ground. I’ll be curious to see how BV schemes them up.

it’s Tua’s Attempts-to-TDs ratio that’s so impressive.

It’s about 1 TD per 5.5 completions. Insane.

How did he do against LSU, Miss State, TA&M, and UGA?

8 TDs in 71 completions. So a TD every 9 completions.
I know your question was rhetorical. But I figured I’d check it out. It is just an impressive figure, even if he did accumulate the statistics against lesser pass defenses.

I can say it in 11 words
Mercer Louisville Arkansas State Mississippi Louisiana-Lafayette Arkansas Missouri Tennessee Citadel
How would Trevor have done against that lineup of winners?

In weeks 1-4, when TL wasn't yet starting, Tua had 12 TDs compared to 9 for TL.
From week 5 on, Tua had 29 TDs and TL had 18.

Trevor has 27 touchdown passes, first of all, an ACC true freshman record. Second, Clemson leads the nation in rushing touchdowns. You think that took away a few easy touchdown passes that pad so many other QBs stats? Third, Tua has a full year in the program under his belt coming into the season. There was a very steep learning curve over the course of the season for Trevor.
Trevor should easily have 40+ touchdown passes each of the next 3 seasons.
