5.1 YPC is a decent number for a back

Travis averaged that many yards AFTER CONTACT. That's bonkers. I heard this stat referenced on a podcast a month or so ago and i believe they said the next closest player was around 3 yards after contact.

More proof he was getting most of his yards on his own. Hope the retooled offensive line steps up this year.

Well he still averaged 2.7 yards before contact last year so it's not like the OL did a terrible job or anything either. Dixon averaged 6.1 per carry, and Mellusl averaged 6.3 so I'd say the line did a pretty good job overall.

At no point in the history of PFF's time grading college games have we seen a running back break tackles more frequently than Etienne did in 2019. He forced a missed tackle on 46% of his carries, breaking 84 tackles on his 181 attempts and gaining 969 yards after contact. He was the nation's most elusive back, and it wasn't even close.
