Any pointers for road trip to TAMU game

Jun 4, 2018, 3:33 PM

Me and some buddies have decided to drive to college station for the game. Will be leaving from the midstate. Probably take the lower route in the picture to stop and see some friends in Nola for a night.
Any sights or out of this world food we should stop for along the way? Any recommendations of hotels, restraunts, bars, etc.. in college station, or should we just stay in houston? Also what recommendations do yall have as far as acquiring tickets. Buy through clemson or look locally there?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks in advance and Go Tigers!

I've made the trip to Houston from Columbia a number

of times, and I prefer the southerly route, picking up I-10 in Mobile. West from Baton Rouge is a somewhat monotonous drive, although fairly fast. You'd probably enjoy the Houston area more with better selections for lodging.

Visit any of the sporting goods stores there, and you can get Houston Texans gear, especially Deshaun and Nuk caps, shirts, tees, etc. The western stores, especially Cavender's, are worth a visit.

Be sure to thank MagnoliaAggie. He posted his suggestions the other day and was immediately bombarded with a bunch of "you don't actually think you're going to win this game" replies.

Not sure how long your trip is, but I highly recommend a side trip to Austin if it’s feasible. You won’t be sorry

Actually gonna be in Austin for a wedding for a long weekend in July. I've heard it's a great city. Can't wait to check it out.

Yes. I had a A&M roommate one summer. Sterotypical Texan

who bragged constantly how everything was bigger and better in Texas.

So make sure you have one of these on whenever you're out and about.

Whenever they brag about something ask 'em if you can see their ring and then show them yours.

Bahahaha, but if I leave my voicemail full it doesn't leave people false hope that I'll get their message??????
And you should see the other ones??
