Byrd with an RBI double high off the wall in left center, and Fairey about took the pitcher's head off with a liner up the middle to score Byrd
Tigers get two in the Top of 1st!!!
We were 0-16 with runners in scoring position yesterday . . . THAT is the story of yesterday's game!!!!!!!

Hopefully we get lucky with second life and can get a 2 out hit.
But difference between a good team (state) and us. Both teams get runners on third 1 out, we get nothing they execute basic baseball fundamentals and get the run home. That will come back to haunt us.

No Robert Jolly on the team this year. Too many taking the third strike and/or trying to pull outside pitches. Still hope they win this one but who knows.

This team is beyond bad. How many dang strike 3s do you look at with runners in scoring position. That’s unacceptable at high school ball. Pathetic effort again today at the plate.

They've been taught to sit on a pitch and drive it . . . When that pitch doesn't come, they cannot adjust.
It will take a long ball for us to win this . . . and almost any game we play

Yep. What we get from a coach groomed under the Tanner philosophy. Worked for them back in the day but it doesn’t seem to work for us.
I don’t understand why we can’t hit situationally. Guy on third less than 2 outs, don’t look at strike 3 and put something to the outfield or right side of infield.

Yep... we won today but you aren’t wrong overall. Hopefully they see some of the benefit of flattening out their swings and putting the ball in play.
Good and needed win today. No idea who we will go with tomorrow for pitching but would go a long way to making post season if we win.
