Joining the SEC East?

Sep 24, 2015, 8:20 AM

Thoughts?? Wouldn't it make sense to join the SEC East and have Kentucky join the ACC. We could be in the same division as Usuck and Georgia. Kentucky could join the ACC and fit right in with the Basketball powers (UNC and Duke).

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No.

Sep 24, 2015, 8:21 AM

It makes sense like building the roof and then putting in the foundation

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The sec would dump USCheat before Kentucky

No WAY!

Sep 24, 2015, 8:37 AM

Why would they give up a sure win to have to play Clemson instead?

Too much integrity for us to downgrade ourselves like that.

Sep 24, 2015, 9:03 AM

We do things the right way and I certainly don't want to see that change. Joining the SEC is a quick way to tarnish your reputation. Plus UGA is the only team in the east division with a pulse. I'd rather play FSU, UofL, and GT every year anyhow.

do Miami, UNC, Lou, and FSU do things the right way?***

I think if the ACC went to North/South divisions then the ACC south would be one of the best divisions in the country and certainly better than the sec east.

Clemson
FSU
Miami
Ga Tech
Va Tech or UVA (split up the Virginia and NC schools)
NC St
UNC

Re: Why drop our SOS? The ACC Atlantic is twice as tough***

It seems that some recruits have wised up to the SEC propaganda and would rather come play in the ACC than to sit behind 2 or 3 5* players in front of him. The playing field isn't even, but it is more even than it was 5-10 years ago. Look at the recruits we have pulled in. You even see Duke pulling in better talent. I think the product put on the field by the ACC has gotten better. If we, FSU, GT, VT, NCST, and Miami could consistently play up to the levels of late (us, FSU, and GT), there is no reason to move. We will have pretty tough schedules and can make it to the playoffs, especially if and when they move to the 8 team model.
