Tom Jurich, Louisville AD.

Aug 8, 2012, 6:45 PM

He should be at the top of the list for ADs and we would be lucky to get him. Under his watch, Louisville has generated Big Ten, SEC money in the Big East. New arena built under his watch, handled the Pitino controversy well, and while football has slipped, Charlie Strong is a great hire. Also women's bball is top notch there. Also, great with donors and getting sponsors. With an uncertain conference future for Louisville, Clemson could be a good spot for him.

I do think he would be a solid hire, but remember Louisville has a cash cow in Papa Johns Pizza. They(PJ) have given tons of money to U of L.

Uhmmmm no! I worked in Louisville the last 3 years. The KFC yum center was not built by the university of Louisville. Yeah they play there, but its not the university's. Louisville could care less about football. Went to a Louisville/Rutgers game where they had 20,000 fans in attendance. How do you figure they make SEC money? Jurich wouldn't be a good hire. Why would we want somebody from a basketball school?

Sort by revenue. They are up there.

Do you have a pizza billionaire to bring along, too?

'Cause if it wasn't for Sugar Papa John, there'd be no cash flow for Louisville.

I do hope we go out and get someone outside the program that will totally engage with Clemson. I was never a TDP fan. He never seemed to be a part of the Clemson community while I was a student there.

Check out my Clemson 2012 Football Season preview:

go to coaches by the number and check out jurich's salary and tell me if you still want him or think he will come? tdp only makes $490,000.
