That is correct! But with the slide play, if the ball is dead where he began the slide for his protection, why wasn't the guy grabbing TL from behind long after he began the slide, why was wasn't he flagged for late hit on the QB. They did say that the rule is to protect the QB right??? Well then protect him!!!

I think if you’re going backwards the heel must be down. If forward, you can drag the toe. I think.
