Aug 2, 2017, 10:46 AM [ in reply to Re: Tnet weigh in . . . ]

I was 6'2" 285 this time last year. Now 244 and on my way to 220!

I turned 50 in May and have heart disease in my family, so I had set a target (with my doctor) of 250 by my birthday. Had gotten down to 270 just cutting out processed food and sodas. In April I started walking my dog every day. I now do one set (6 or 8) of sprints every week (uphill runs to save my ankles and knees, or hills on the bike), and I'm just now starting to do push-ups, etc.

Simplest advice I can share is to go to: marksdailyapple.com

Don't feel like it's all or nothing, but challenge yourself occasionally to add something. Layer your approach over time and you will be successful.

Good luck, and let me know if I can help.

Between 6:01am and 9:59pm I am a 5'9" 195 lb slow white dude who if you added all the steps I take a day would take exactly 3 and a quarter years for me to walk a mile.
