They'll need to work out whether this was private money or $EC money .

Holds together. If any of those down payments get stalled, some of their 'all ins' may become 'all out'. That'll be a problem for some of those players, though, because legit programs will know why they're bailing. Not all, granted, just the ones that had a fair number of folks scratching their heads wondering 'why?'

According to the UNC lawyers retained by LSU, there were payments made to a music student’s dad and an art student’s mom. Therefore no benefit to athletes only and no violation. Nothing to see here.

But the real loser is the foundation that was deserving of money raised by its employee. Things like this happen much more often than you would think. I am very careful which charitable organizations I choose to help. If you are like me, you get calls weekly asking for donations. Much of that money ends up in the pockets of those making the calls. I asked the local sheriff here in the county where I live what his thoughts were about this kind of solicitation of funds and he said that his office got ten cents of every dollar raised. Something to think about.
