Ticket Question...

Aug 16, 2019, 8:32 AM

So I got the electronic tickets this year by accident. On them, it states, 'Do not print on paper form'. What does this mean? Can we not print these tickets? I thought I read that that the ticket checkers won't scan cell phones.

So you can print the e-ticket and get in and somebody else can also get in with your phone?

They will definitely scan cell phones. I reprint all my tickets to my phone, and have been for the last 2 years. It's so much easier as long as you make sure your phone is charged.

I believe I heard they are told not to scan paper pdf tickets, but I can't confirm that.

I think the ticket office did a poor job of communicating how the mobile tickets can be used. Even though they referred to them as “print at home” you cannot use a printed version if you got the mobile ones. I downloaded to Apple Wallet where they will be scanned as you enter. You can transfer them by “sharing” to another person by email or text. On Wallet there is an option under the ... button to share. That was important to me since I get 4 tickets for family and we don’t all show up at the same time and I wanted to be sure I could transfer them without going through the transfer process that charges a fee. I don’ Know how this works if you don’t have Apple Wallet but I assume other mobiles have something similar.

You can also take a screenshot from your apple wallet, and send that picture to someone. It should work just the same for them to show the picture.

"ticket office did a poor job"

I'm shocked!
