This year would have been great for a 5+3 format

3 major undefeateds (Bama Clemson ND), 2 one loss (OK, OSU), 2 two loss (GA, Mich), 1 minor undefeated (UCF). And really, if you are not playing top 8 ball at the end of the year, you don't have a realistic shot at a title anyhow.
