At some point we have to decide whats worse. Covid 19 or Great Depression #2.
I would love to be able to sit home and hunker down for a year, but that is not a realistic alternative.

It deserves to be discussed.

We conservatives are not ignorant of these possibilities. Haven't you ever watched a horror movie?

I personally believe that the media did a terrible job of educating us as to how we could work safely. Everyone just said "Omigod! Stop working and let the government take care of you!"

To this day I have never seen any American media piece explaining how my working endangered other people. I had to learn that from the BBC.

American media was full of contradictions and blame-gaming. Governors whining for more respirators before finding out they had a surplus. Analysts determining after every briefing whether this President had just helped or hurt his re-election chances. Reporters trying to play "gotcha" games with the guy that had just wriggled off the impeachment hook FOR THE ENTIRE FIRST THREE MONTHS OF THE INTERNATIONAL PANDEMIC.

So a guy takes risks and loses.

Just like every poor person who buys a lottery ticket. Except all they lose is cash, over and over again. He lost his life and future retirement.
