This is how I really think the USuK coaching search will go.

Caslen will sit in on all the interviews, this has already been said. What will then happen is that HE will offer the job to whoever he thinks is the best candidate, and Tanner will either sign off on it, or be asked to hit the bricks immediately.

Either way, I think Tanner's days of wielding any real power in the Athletic Department are over. When a dumpster fire gets as out of control as theirs is, even non-Firemen can see it needs to be put out.

I think you are correct in your assumptions.

The one thing that I think currently hangs in the balance is whether or not Caslen has a positive or negative impact on the situation.

You would think someone with his experience would have a knack for this sort of thing, but the show that he and Tanner put on in the media at the end of last football season brings that to question.
