He'll have plenty of people telling him, "Well, that's not how we did it when Jimbo was here" or " Well Coach, this ain't Clemson and you can't turn us into one".

My how the worm has turned. Clemson has become a measuring stick. Clemson has had plenty of success over the years, but it’s now clearly in a place it’s never been before. Very cool, hammer down, let’s blaze some new trail.

This is exactly why Dabo should have a policy of not

allowing other coaches to visit. He probably thought it was harmless since Willie was in the Pac12 coaching a crappy team in Washington or whatever state Oregon is in. But now he's coaching in our conference and he knows everything about our program. It's clear that Dabo still has a lot to learn.

view what they are doing. Never know when they will be coaching against us. Really dumb and puzzling. It's would be like the military inviting other countries to see what we are doing.

atheist hippy liberals. Dabo probably saw it as a chance to be a good republican Christian man, just like his best friend and mentor Tommy Bowden. And what happens...Willie turns around and stabs him in the back. I guess it's true what they say, no good deed goes unpunished.

Seriously? I thought I made it obvious that when Willie

was coaching the Ducks out in Washington he visited Clemson to gather intel and then bolted to FSU where he could use Dabo's generosity against him.
Wait, did you think I meant Willie literally stabbed Dabo in the back? LOL, sorry for the confusion...that was meant figuratively, like just an expression. To my knowledge Dabo has never literally been stabbed.

to fight with you and training enemies to fight against you. FSU is the enemy and Dabo invited him into his house to break bread. That's unacceptable.

Allowing other coaches to visit happens a lot-not just here. You're not handing over the playbook. Coaches that have been in the ACC a few years know what Dabo is doing. We have been successful because of what kind of man Dabo is. Anyone can build facilities from a technical point of view. The article was about a culture. A coach can see the end result of a culture but they have to be a man like Dabo to create one even remotely similar. He said he recruits "good people" first. How many times have teams gone after a player with a bad history just for the sake of a short fix which bites them in the butt? I think Dabo looks at someone like that and tries to see if he thinks he can help them and also have them contribute in a positive way-both on and off the field. Sometimes they are very questionable but if he brings them in they either become part of the family, of the culture if you will or they leave. It's that simple. So if Taggart wanted to come and look around and get a feel for things, then try to bring an honorable person first into the culture he creates--not an intransigent thug (ala Jameis Winston), then more power to him. If we had more coaches that were like Dabo, more student athletes would be treated as people first and not some piece of meat, college football and the NFL for that matter, would be immeasurably better. After all, when you go to college you are ideally supposed to come out a better more knowledgeable and well rounded person and not someone who gropes Uber drivers.

he doesn't want to work any more. He's about to win 4 national championships in a row thanks to Trevor Lawrence and then he's off to Bama to win championships there. Bama will keep him until he retires.

"Every detail"?? Seriously? Clemson has its "top secret" areas for it's technical assets. No one ever cornered the market on being a good person. And if you want to think of FSU from the rival aspect, the worse FSU becomes, the lower our strength of schedule is.

You can watch every fight that a boxer has ever had and study his every move, but until you have taken one of his power punches, you haven't learned enough to beat him. That is the way I see it with FB and our FB program, until a team has played and beat us, they still don't know enough about our team to beat them. They can look, smell, and get the feel all they want to, but when they face us, they will see that they didn't learn enough!!!

Exactly . Football comes down to planning and execution . A good plan is important , proper execution of that plan even more so. Even then , the opponents have plans as well ... so there will always be wins and losses as is the nature of things no matter how well prepared a system is , or how well it functions when called upon . Taggart wants ideas on how to be a better coach , nothing wrong with helping the neighbor once in a while .

We Clemson fans deeply regret that you turned down our offer to coach our football team, GWP. We only ask that you continue to help us straighten our young rookie coach out and we thank you for such constructive criticism as this.
Your dedicated lifetime fan,

Dabo: My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Um, I think that GWP is having fun just seeing how long it takes for someone to mention Washington and Oregon are two separate states.
