This guy is trying to justify PFF's #28 ranking of DW4

Practically every QB evaluation metric has Watson as being an upper level QB so far this season except for one. Pro Football Focus has been the only group to rate him as a bottom tier QB. People throughout social media have been hammering them about this because clearly there must be something wrong with their evaluation method if they are the only ones with this opinion of Deshaun. So, this guy with PFF puts out an article today trying to defend their evaluation.

Basically he says Watson's rating is so low because he hasn't paid a significant consequence for errant throws, Texans receives haven't dropped many balls, and that the metrics are a bit skewed because his second half performance when entered the game in relief of Tom Savage in the very first game of his career was so poor. They said if you take out that game he moves up like 12 spots in their rankings.

My biggest take is that if your metrics get skewed that much by a guy supposedly playing poorly in 1 half of the first game of the season in the first regular season game that he's ever plays, then you need to rethink your metric. Also, if the eye test isn't close to matching your metrics and your on an island as far as your analysis of a guy (meaning nobody else sees it that way), again you need to rethink how you're doing your metrics.
