Game times are typically announced on the Monday 2 weeks prior to the game. Example below...

Game times for this coming weekend were released at 12:30pm on 9/14...so, we should expect to know in the next hour, UNLESS...

They decide to impose the 6 day hold--ABC/ESPN can impose this a few times a year (forget exact rules), in which case we would not know gametime until next Sunday.

ESPN does have a 6-day option they sometimes use, so they could potentially put the decision off until Sunday.

Not sure there is much to wait and think about. Usually the 6 day holds are when they dont want to commit to a certain time slot because they want to wait and see what happens between now and then. You'd think they know both teams will be undefeated going into that game and will give it the most marquee time slot possible. Also allows for better planning, as oppose to only knowing 6 days in advance.
