There are two NC State alums in my ofice....

both of whom are season football ticket holders. I asked them if they were going to drive-up for the game this Saturday. Both said they had no intentions of driving that far to watch the a$$ whoopin' NC State is likely going to receive. At least at home they can change the channel and get in bed at a decent hour.

care very little for football.

The DO get very excited when the team is on a roll ... they were super hyped when Phillip Rivers helped them win 11 games and they flocked to the Gator Bowl that year to watch the win over Notre Dame.

But that was the exception ... normally, they won't even drive to Wake Forest to follow the team.

Most years, they are waiting around for another basketball season to begin in hopes that this will be the year that they finally make some progress in equalizing things with the "Blue" schools just down the road.

All this said, their fans will be there in force this Saturday and they will be all over us as long as the Pack stays in the game.

We need to be prepared for their very best shot.
