What are we thinking, Duke? UNC? Notre Dame? Virginia? NC State?

I love the confidence, but we don’t even hold half of the people that NC State holds (clemson capacity 9,000 NC State - 19,000+)

NC State fans don't fill PNC. Just because they have a larger capacity does not mean its a tougher place to play. With that logic, NC State is tougher venue than Cameron.

I’m not saying the toughest place to play at is NC state i’m just saying it’s really tough to be the toughest venue when you sit 9,000 people and you have problems filling that.

Yea I def agree, and for toughest places to play bball in the ACC would prob be a toss up between Duke and UNC. Of course for Clemson it's UNC since we have never won there but for the sake of the question, I def think it's a tie between Duke and UNC having the toughest home court to play on in the ACC. Go Tigers!!

Fl State has a .679 winning % at home. Far and away the best record, but Clemson and Death Valley is THE toughest place to play in the country.

Well why didn't you say that at the beginning?????? Being that we have never won there, it has to be Dean Smith Center.

Good point but it was a question about basketball not football. Of course Death Valley is the toughest in football but reading the post if it was about football, Duke and UNC wouldn't even be in the conversation for toughest place to play football in the ACC.

As someone who has been to every single ACC venue, my answer may surprise you. Believe it or not, I have to say Virginia Tech is the toughest place to play. Not many people are familiar with Cassell Coliseum but man that is the loudest place in the ACC. Really underrated place to watch a game. I recommend anyone who has the chance to see us play up there next week, do it.

It has brown and bright orange colored seats that look like it was built in the 1950's... but then again.. some people love hanging out in a barn.

THE TOUGHEST place to play would mean to me, the toughest place to win at. With our record at 59-0 at UNC, for me the clear winner is @ UNCheat.

It’s not necessarily the toughest place for Clemson to win at, more about the entire conference in general.

In case some of you missed it the question was asked in the basketball forum. Littlejohn opened in 1968 and was modeled after Cassell Coliseum. Notice the high walls at each end of the court. Clemson took out the end walls during the first renovation of Littlejohn Coliseum.

I guess it really depends, I think it be a toss up between Duke or UNC. To clemson obviously unc since we have never won there but tbh I think it's very hard to play and win at Duke as well, clemson just seems to have terrible luck at unc not that it's that much harder to play in then say Duke. I will go with a tie between Duke and UNC being the toughest places to play basketball In the ACC and tbh both prob are the top home court advantages in the entire country.

Once, while looking for “the facilities” in Cameron, I managed to get into the lower levels of the arena. Believe me, THAT would be tough to play. It was tough just to walk through. I’m glad I didn’t find a men’s room down there! Sports facilities aren’t everything or the Devils would never sign a kid like Zion! I Would vote for Duke being the toughest but there are several running a close second. VPI will be no cakewalk for us in just a few days.
