Snowflakes teaching kids how to be snowflakes

Feb 8, 2018, 12:51 PM

What a world we live in where a boy, breaks the rules, climbs inside a toy machine, and after being rescued the firemen allow him to keep several toys that he crawled in the machine to steal. They should have taken him to the police station for a fake booking to teach him a lesson.

post non-Clemson related stuff in The Amphitheatre?

You should be taken to Grump's office (dungeon?) for a fake banning to teach you a lesson.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

What’s his office like? I’ve never been.

I agree with you, but those claw machines are an absolute scam as well. I was speaking with someone who owns a few of them. And after a few drinks he was telling me he can program his to only use 1% of its power on the claws grip up to 999 of 1000 tries. He said he set his at 1 in 200 tries to be full power. It costs 50 cents to play, so he knew he would make $100 for each $1 toy he lost. It was set! It is totally nothing but a legalized gambling machine for kids!

The take-away here...

Feb 8, 2018, 1:15 PM

is teach your kids not to waste their money on these stupid games in the first place instead of teaching them that it's OK to break into them and steal what you were unable to win.

My father would have wore my a$$ out in front of everyone in the arcade and that's exactly what this kids father should have done as well.

I have never understood the SNOWFLAKE reference.

Jan 2, 2021, 8:23 AM

It supposedly means that you think you are more special than everybody else.

But, a snowflake is actually a pretty good analogy to most people;

it may be one of a kind, but it is still very similar to most other's around it, making it ordinary in the whole. It also blends in and is not really that distinguished, going unrecognized among the group.
A snowflake usually only lasts for a brief time and is extinguished into a basic element, just like most people.

Anyhow, I really don't understand the SNOWFLAKE analogy.

the other kids in the store try to pick him up with it.

And then give THEM free toys for their performance.

And then charged the brat for wrinkling up all the stuffed animals.

But hey, what do I know.

I'm told to have ever had a class in snowflake-ology.
