Yes and it is why the Congressmen and Senators should not be in Washington,DC. but have offices in their respective Statehouses. No need for them to be in DC full time and it is their job the represent their States voters, tell me how they can do that when unavailable while being in DC> Plus the lobbyists would need to travel instead of walking down a hallway to the next office., Votes can be done via internet with VOIP, so can meetings. Time for them to go back where they belong and convene 4 times a year in DC.

Excellent idea, I would vote for that. They would certainly be more accountable to their constituents vs. special interests.

how abut we just outlaw the practice of lobbying all together? IF a company wants their interests heard, they can stand before the entire house and speak instead of picking them off one at a time with legal bribes.

In theory that would be fine but in reality there is no way to actually stop it. It just goes further underground and totally in the dark.
