how can anyone answer this when we haven't gotten a chance to truly see how Schuessler will do?
if not for the love affair our coaches have with Stoudt, I may be able to guess but I just don't know.

I seem to remember Cole completing like 18-20 when a game was over also last year. That worked out great huh? We're not beating SC with either of those guys, neither fit this offense. Watson is only chance

dude, I'm not saying lets suit up Schuessler before DW, but if it comes to Stoudt or Schuessler, who do you prefer? The horrible 5th year senior or the guy who will be with us in the future? Cole has had his chance and he blew it.

First he is not a 5th year senior and I blame Morris as much as I blame Cole. Morris did not adjust the gameplan once Watson went out. He should know Cole's limitations. Morris is also the QB coach and he does not coach up ant QB that is not starting.

However, does it really matter? No. He has been there just as long as any other senior and knows the offense like that back of his hand.
And what are you talking about 'Chad should've made some adjustments'? He did make adjustments! Over the past several weeks we have witnessed some of the most conservative play-calling as long as he's been OC at Clemson and Cole still managed to struggle. I mean, at the end of the day, the blame cannot be placed anywhere else, man.

I guess everyone here forgot SC sucks....took overtime and 2 blocks on special teams just to beat the almost worse team in the Country.

point. I would hope,I say H...O...P...E that Morris could engineer an opening drive that would go perfect and we get 7. Then, somehow the D gets the coots backed up and we get it at the 45. Maybe pick up 10 and Lapik kicks a bomb to get to 10. A pick 6 by the D.........and we have a shot. I think the D, if Dabo lays this one in their capable hands, can rise to the occasion and play their best game of the year.

a chance. I don't see a scenario where Stoudt does not play some (or a lot). Yes he has played poorly lately, but if CU wins and he has a positive part in it; all previous flaws will be forgiven.
The D will have to play well, and the O will need to find a way to run w/ a RB.

I am baffled when people say they would continue to play him.
I'm no coach (and this is probably why) but if I was, he wouldn't take one more snap for me. I don't have the patience so sit and watch guys give the game away like that. Senior or not, to the bench with that crap.

There is a big, big difference between asking someone to be perfect and not to throw 3 INTs for 15 points for the opposition. It is an absolute joke at this point if we play him and deserve a beating from the coots if Dabo does so.
I can forgive an INT maybe one time every 2-3 games. Sloppy handoffs are forgivable. As many INTs as completions tells me that you either were lucky in past success, are seriously injured, have a mental block, or both physical and mental. We cannot afford to give Cole another chance. Y'all want to hear crap from Spurrier and the fans for another whole year?

And another thing. Adam Choice, if healthy, would've been perfect to play QB for us with the read option. He ran it a ton in HS, but I really think Dabo and Morris are too stubborn to try anything different. My prediction if Watson can't play is Cole will start. He won't be able to do anything to put points on the board and Dabo will wait too late to make a change. Sad to say, but that is the truth.
Now if Watson can play I think he should and possibly if we build a lead, let Nick come in and throw some short passes, quick outs, and some handoffs. Maybe, just maybe it will open up a long vertical opportunity for Nick. I don't trust Cole in this game.

Y'all seem to forget how bad our defense really is and this is coming from a Gamecock fan. That being said, we did have our best defensive showing vs UF on the road and essentially get two weeks to prepare for you, but you should score at least 17.
