The best comparison to Kelly Bryant is Greg Ward Jr

If you want an idea of what our offense will look like go watch highlights of Houston last year.

They are almost identical is running styles, & imo Kelly Bryant will look a lot like Ward did throwing the ball.

Ward may be a slightly better pocket passer, & both have good arms, but the thing they both seem to do well is keep their eyes downfield and hold the defenders before they take off running.

Neither have pin point accuracy, but with our playmakers, & the threat of the run you really just need to get it in the area & allow them to do their thing.


Houston also ran the option & stretched the defense side to side with a ton of success.

Agree. about 3 or 4 inches taller too.


But very similar athleticism & throwing style. Would call a similar game with each at QB

Next year Lawrence will be the starter. I hope Bryant gets the job done too. Otherwise it's Cooper or Johnson.

I'm no coot. Any one with a brain watched Lawrence last weekend. He's the real deal. He's the next Watson. Why is it that you don't get our concern about Bryant? We are wide receiver university not running back university. Kent State will prove nothing. Mickey Mouse could beat Kent State. The Auburn game will show if Bryant has progressed.

If Bryant has a good season I don't care if Jesus Christ was coming to Clemson. A true freshman won't start over a senior and seasoned vet at that point in Bryant

Well since Jesus has unlimited power, I'd say he'd probably start.

But His mission isn't exactly to win football games

Ward is small and more of a passing qb

Bryant is bigger and more athletic. Ward is probably more accurate as a passer

They look about the same athletically to me, but id prolly give the edge to KB as well. They both hold the ball the same when they take off too.

Agree about Ward as a passer. Ward is essentially what we are hoping KB will be as a passer.

I cautiously optimistic he can be that.
