I think the difference was that against the Coots last season we were flagged for "impeding the player from making a catch" while tonight the 'Bama player did not impeded one of our players because there was no one there to be "impeded". Would like to hear an official's explanation.

The ball was touched BEFORE going 10 yds.

I understand the difference was how the receiving team reacted. I recall in the USCjr game the officials ruled that they signaled for a fair catch so they were interfered with when we caught the ball in the air (first contact with anything). Last night we didn't signal for a fair catch.

We didn't signal for a fair catch because there was no one there to fair-catch it.

Inexplicable X's and O' failure...and there needs to be an autopsy, figure out who eff'd the pooch there.

Can't ever remember seeing a team lose a game on an onsides kick because their coaches didn't know how to cover it before. Especially when that game was a national title game.

Do not blame losing on an inside kick. Worked to perfection just like our fake punt 12 days ago.
