I think it's a great thing that both Clemson and SC are doing well, it's good for the State of South Carolina. The competition between our Tigers and the other group in Columbia will only grow in intensity.

Go Tigers! Beat the brakes off of the Gamesocks in 2014!

Alabama, Texas, and Florida have more FBS schools that water down

their averages. If only taking the top 2 FBS teams in each state, SC would be way down the list.

Great publicity but I have to agree with a top 5 rather than #1

SC did have 2 top 10 teams but so did Fla with a national champ

Bama had the #2 team and a BCS team in bama who lost

Texas and Cali have lots of top 20 teams

It is great to be in the discussion given where both teams were 10 -15 years ago

Whoever ranked SC #1 is an idiot.

Alabama has what, 4 of the last 5 national titles and this state hasn't sniffed one in 30 years.

Well I agree if you are talking about years passed and history but I think that was intended to be for this past year which SC def would be at worst two...

But definitely not #1 considering Alabama had a BCS team and a team play for the national championship.

Right now I would put SC #3 behind Alabama and Florida.
