It's about time someone or some organization stands up to the nation of the offended. In the last year Clemson has stood strong against those who want to change it with no real benefit of doing so. FFRF and PC crowd, take your ball and go home. We will not give up our religious rights nor will we rewrite our history no matter how unpleasant it may be.

When they see that courtesy they see weakness and use social media and the left wing mainstream media to eventually wear you down with negative publicity. and the FFRF thingy. Clemson is a #### public school not some academy for wannabe baptist preachers to thump their bibles. No one wants to hear about where you go to church---or sunday school. Be classy like the Catholics and shut up about it.

Clemson had a racist play a major role in our University's history. What do you want to do to correct that? Why stop at Tillman hall? Why not just abolish the entire university? Afterall, it has racists in its past.

They aren't completely different. Different topics maybe. With FFRF you had had a group of people not being harmed by a situation wanting a change for the sake of change that solved nothing and had no victim. The religious meetings are voluntary and attended by the willing.
With Tillman Hall you have a group people that aren't being harmed by a building being named a certain name wanting a change for the sake of change that solves nothing and has no victim. It's a name. Changing the name doesn't change the fact that Ben Tillman played a vital role in the start of the college. It doesn't change Tillman hall, it doesn't change that slavery happened. It doesn't change the fact that there were, are and will always be racists living among us. It doesn't make anyone's life better. Like the BOT said, there are much more valuable things that can be done than changing the tradition and history of Clemson history.
I'd rather Clemson officially condemn Tillman as a person. That would say a lot more than changing a building name.
