That Obama is a genius.

He set up an economic machine which instead of immediately affecting domestic growth delayed the action until after his administration ended and continues even yet to work as he designed it. What a man, what a legacy!
GDP for this quarter is 3.2%. Thanks Obama!

That's not even close to the best growth under Obama.
Let me guess, Fox or some right wing nutter site said it and you just posted it without checking. Am I close?

Currently stands at 26,494. 44.5% increase.
Think Barry is responsible for that? Or could it be from deregulation and tax cuts and generally a better pro-biz atmosphere?

The man is a phd economist. He presents indicators which have been verified by coming future events. He's not like Krugman who predicted the global economy would collapse if Trump took office and he predicted the growth of this economy.
That's a fact. The video wasn't shot this morning. At least you can bear the link long enough to tell us what the date it was shot.
It's one of the most accurate and insightful analysis and predictions I've seen. Perhaps one of your buds who understands economics could watch it and explain to you exact what the man is talking about.

Likewise, that degree I earned through many hours invested in study at Sirrine Hall evidently taught me nothing.
Anyone here take Money and Banking with Tophiqe Chodry (sp?) In the early 90's?
Not a bad prof (he was a PhD student) and was funny as h3ll.

I graduated from Clemson too and all my free elective were in economics except two semesters of chemistry. I took three hard years of Econ including labor econ, money and banking and construction funding and finance which was a graduate course taught in the Construction Science program. I would have taken four years but I was only there between 1985 and 1988. I needed three hours more to make my Spring semester a 24 hr load. That's what it took to graduate the Spring of 88.
I did my senior year (42 hrs) in six months.

dog POTUS is doing all that? Are you stupid or just oblivious to what's going on around you?
Asking for Schummer, Pelosi, AOC, Omar, GND, CNN, NYT, MSNBC and any other enlightened elites who identify as democrats but really push for socialism.
WTPH is wrong with you people, TGIF and let's have some fun today. Of course this America's rewards given by Trump's economic policy.

Lets be fair here. Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan were better for the economy than Trump.
That and continuing to come out of the last financial meltdown created by the Republicans.
Unfortunately, this recovery is being fueled by the same policies that brought about the meltdown.
Cut in taxes, increase in spending and deregulating wall st.
Hold on to your wallets...

Trump is doing exactly what Reagan did and getting the exact same results. Increase defense spending, cut taxes on individuals and businesses and life some of the stifling regulations on business operations and those small companies in the business community.
The professor who taught me Econ 302 in the mid to late 1980s explored the graphs behind the theory and provided graphical proof that it was working then and would work again. It's not rocket science if I can grasp it.
You know I'll shoot you a line of BS when I'm trolling but you also know as well I don't lie. I'll add 'No CHIT, Sherlock!'

This is true. He inherited the worst economic downturn since the great depression.
Trump hasn't hurt the economy, but he's hardly the cause of it's rebound.
Facts are pesky things.

People at the time didn't believe that.
Herbert Hoover (1874-1964), America's 31st president, took office in 1929, the year the U.S. economy plummeted into the Great Depression. Although his predecessors' policies undoubtedly contributed to the crisis, which lasted over a decade, Hoover bore much of the blame in the minds of the American people...."
https://www.history.com/topics/us-presidents/herbert-hoover
The economist didn't believe it either.
"...In 1931, a year before FDR was elected president, the unemployment rate was an unprecedented 16.3 percent. By 1939, nearly two terms into the Roosevelt administration, the unemployment rate had risen to 17.2 percent. The New Deal clearly didn’t lower unemployment like most of us were taught.
In May 1939, Treasury Secretary Henry J. Morgenthau Jr. stated that, “we are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work… I say after eight years of this Administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started…And an enormous debt to boot.”
The depression would have been much shorter without the New Deal..."
The link doesn't matter, what matters is what Treasury Sec Morgenthau said. If you get nothing else out of this take it from the man Hoover put in that chair.
