According to local cola-town radio...coots are looking forward to UGA. They seem more concerned about outcome of CU/UGA and what that will mean when they travel to Athens. UGA loses, they're pissed and play with a chip or UGA wins and has confidence. WHAT ABOUT UNC?
I guess the question is...
What is your honest opinion about UNC providing an embarrassing upset?

UNC could surprise but I just don't expect them to match up very well. They have serious issues on defense. I think it will be a close game early because UNC has a more polished Offense but if SCar gets going I expect them to pull away.

USuc's offense tends to struggle early in the season for whatever reason and I do agree that they will have an eye looking towards the UGay game.
With all that said, they do have a good defense. UNC will throw the kitchen sink at them early and often. Will be interesting game to watch. UNC has nothing to lose and USuc has its normal reputation to protect along with the pressures of getting another 5th place ring.

They have a very good LT who may be able to significantly slow down Clowney. It will really depend on if they have a good replacement for Giovanni Bernard. Also wouldn't hurt if Gaffney native Quinshad Davis has a big game.

and fails to fully focus on UNC, this is a game that $CU will win.
While UNC has a very potent offense, their defense, which was horrendous at time last year, will not be significantly improved in 2013.
In light of $CU's traditional sluggish opening games under Spurrier, I do think the game will be close, at least for a while. Ultimately though, I think $CU wins by at least 17.

good teams at so.miss. he went to a bowl game every year he was the hc there, from 2008-2011. the usuc game stat you posted makes absolutely zero sense, as 1 game is not a season. actually, i thought you were a little smarter than that.

both of'em. but i've always felt that with unc's success on the basketball courts, and their fan following, with the right hc, they could field a very good football team. see what brown and davis were building when those guys were each at the helm.

UNC can't handle USuC's defense. I think the tarheel defense will slow down the USuC offense and keep the scoring kind of reasonable - mid 20's. But they wont score many points if at all.
