A potentially overlooked re: why we lost

Jan 16, 2020, 6:49 PM

Been reflecting on what were some contributing factors to our loss. One that popped into my mind was the lack of Booths development. He was a high 5 star CB and that position often can contribute. We had no one to switch out AJ for and needed another CB who could cover one on one. I expected a McKensie type corner and losing Trayvon left is needed him.

Not sure “lack of development”

Is the right phrase. By his own admission he has been injured and lacked confidence much of the year. Doubt we would throw a freshman into the fire in a situation like that.

Not saying there were not reasons and not trying to place blame. By the 15th game plus an early enrollee you would expect to be able to play some snaps. Back in the 11 game era that would be a mid year sophomore. Injuries acknowledged, with what we were hoping for, it would have been a welcomed addition.

He was hurt and couldn't play up to his ability. He'll get healthy and be who we thought he would. He definitely has some fire and desire. Just think back to Louisville. Not condoning what he did but he showed he can be physical.

Definitely rooting for him. Just wish it would have been this year.

The Clemson Offense

was the primary reason we lost Monday night.

It was a team loss. Sub-par coaching/play calling, offense and defense. If 2 out of 3 in any area had been above average we still could have won.

Offense seemed slow and played with no emotion except ETN no separation with WR's. They had a better game plan and were just better team that night;.

Alas and alack. I can hardly wait for the spring game when we can start a new championship year. It’s going to be great to be a tiger supporter.

I thought Booth and Sheridan Jones looked pretty good in the spring game .
