a lot of folks may not like this,but i've never seen a purple tiger either.lsu chose purple or yellow at some point,and they are true complements.the true complement of our beloved orange is blue.not opinion,but fact.

you may want to check the color wheel.red,blue,and yellow are primary colors,while green,orange,and purple are secondary colors.complements are opposite on the wheel,thus orange/blue,purple/yellow,and red/green are all complements.i've studied oil painting,color,and art for many years and have never heard the color pairs referred to as contrasts.this is one area in which i do know what i'm talking about,reflected by the fact that my paintings are quite saleable.

Please! Tigers are not yellow, and no, the stripes aren't puple, but neither are they blue, no matter whether the colors go better together, or not.

Does LSU still have that real tiger as a mascot? They usually show it on TV during some of their games....I didn't see it when they played UF the other week.
