This is incorrect. Hindsight has proven that what it meant was that the 2 best teams in the country were in the ACC in 2016. There was the team that won the National Championship (Clemson)and there was the only team that beat them that year (PITT). Clemson was lucky they only had to play a weak #3 Bama team for the Championship.
