What about coaching up the guys that are already there? Okey, Wilson, White, Batson, Renwick, all have the potential to hit a lot more home runs than they have in the past, with the right hitting coach.

Most of the C of C guys that Monte recruited were not really known for power out of HS. (Nor are the guys he has committed thus far). They either (1) developed it through good coaching, and/or, (2) got a lot of cheap hrs at the launching pad at Patriot's Point.

Monte is nobody's fool. He knows that the ball simply does not travel at Clemson the way it does in Charleston. Doug Kingsmore is going to force him to adjust the way he coaches, and recruits.

I think this team will score the runs and hit for some power. Pitching as always is the key.

under Leggett. As long as Monte corrects this, and gets us back to playing sound defense, the lack of home runs won't matter much.
