He’s really lucky he has such talented receivers. Just a dumb decision to just throw the ball up and potentially cost the team 3 points. Very lucky.

He threw it to a spot at the back of the end zone where a 6'4" guy had to jump all out to catch it and only had room for one foot in...

Come'on man....that was the equivalent of a hail mary. He threw it up for grabs, but that's why Clemson recruits that type of receiver.

Exactly. With the throw he made that pass was either going to be caught by Ross or incomplete. Now, I do think plays like that have led to some of his interceptions this year due to his confidence in his ability to make those type of throws every time.

I can see the flipside to the argument, but he put it where only someone the size of Ross or Higgins had any chance at catching it inbounds. Of course that gave him very little margin for error, but he made the throw.

I dunno, seemed pretty calculated to me. The two options were 1) the ball was thrown out of bounds or 2) only players that had a shot were our two 6ft 5 receivers. It’s either caught by one of them or move on to next play.

Yeah. That was the dumbest comment. A low-percentage play, sure. But with less than a minute to go in half, why not give your 5-star receiver a chance? We were in FG range, and the chance of interception was low.
