all we had to do was run the ball on the coots to beat them.

Why even my wife picked up on that and our staff didn't admittedly causes me some concern. We just had to get cute.

got NFL talent to showcase like Tajh and Sammy so I guess sticking with what was working was asking too much on that particular night.

Morris has to stick with the run when it's working.

He's done this the past two years. For all the crap some give the OL the fact remains that when we forced the run it works. We just don't do it enough

what is working. When Hot Rod is shredding a defense, keep giving him the ball. Sammy and Tajh, if winning is what its all about, will understand, or at least SHOULD understand.

That and the turnovers killed us

Hot rod was gashing them at will 14 carries for over 100 yards. Yet Chad went away from it at times. Also the WR pass was inexcuseable as was the two muffed punts. Those don't happen, we win

They can not stop the run and that is all you have to do to beat them. I don't understand why teams will not do it more.

Because a WR screen or 5 yard hitch is pretty much the same as a run play!
Except for the whole imposing your will on the defense and controlling the line of scrimmage part of things.

Chad gets pass happy at times unfortunantly

Also most of the teams they played this year weren't good enough to exploit it. UGA did and won. tenn did and won. Mizzu would haev won except for two missed makeable FGs. UF didn't have enough offenseive talent or they would have won and we killed ourselves. If Wis keeps running the ball they'll win.

We lost because we could NOT stop Conner Shaw.

Shaw was OK, managed the game.

maybe 250 yards of offense? he wasn' t the issue. Our coaches got tight sphinctors, couldn't adjust to the flow, and tried to be cute. Our players then tightened up and turned the ball over when the coaches showed abandonment of the fundamental game. The OBC took them to school on how to flow with the game and go with what's working at the time.
that's the story.
Our young coaches need to learn from it. I'm not sure that they did, we'll see.

Our coaches are not young. The Dirtpeckers were 10-19 on third down. Shaw rushed 22 times for 94 yards. I know the turnovers didn't help. Usuc only punted 5 times.

While, Shaw hurt us on their side of the ball, the reason we lost is we had 6 turnovers. If we only had 2 we win that game. I do agree with the sentiment of this thread though. We got cute at inappropriate times when it was better suited to keep handing the ball off.
