That NC State kicker just had a life altering game.

Oct 16, 2016, 7:22 AM

Poor kid has to face his teammates who may be encouraging but in reality are very disappointed. Everywhere he goes this week he'll that "look" from everyone on campus. It will either crush him mentally or make him stronger. If you're the second string NSCSU kicker this could be the chance you've been waiting for.

I'm so thankful he missed 3 of 4 but if we don't fumble inside the three and score on 4th and one this young kicker wouldn't be a part of the story. Good Luck Bambard.

You actually have to feel the kid's pain. That was an awful day for him.

In his defense, if the coaches for NCSU had not called the PASS play immediately prior, which caused them to lose 5-6 yards, then the FG might have made it from the shorter distance. A RUN play probably would have sealed the victory for NCSU. The coach that called that play is nuts.

Couldn't agree more about the pass call...

Did NC State's OC invite Jeff or Tony to make a "guest play call" on that?

plenty of distance on that kick...well within his range...he just pushed it to the right...as for the previous play I don't think they were ever gonna pass, just run around a little to kill clock and place the ball dead center on the field which they did...that was almost a point blank kick and he just missed it

Funny thing is, this kicker was the backup.

He kicked all last year. Got beat out in the fall by a newcomer, the after the newbie misses a few kicks he gets the nod again.

Dont forget he cheated by using that timeout to kick

Oct 16, 2016, 9:45 AM

He deserved the miss

Its a team game. If he should feel bad, then the line should

Oct 16, 2016, 11:06 AM

feel bad for letting a kick be blocked.
The offense should feel bad for not scoring the td.
The D should feel bad for not getting 1 more stop.
QB should feel bad for blowing it in OT with the INT.
Its not all on him.

Anyone who puts the blame on him doesn't understand football, and unfortunately, that's allot of people.

excellent post...and if he hasn't already, the wuffie kicker

Oct 16, 2016, 1:46 PM [ in reply to Its a team game. If he should feel bad, then the line should ]

needs to develop thick alligator skin that water rolls right off of. All kickers need to.

My disapproving, furrowed brow looks go to the NCSt fans who don't understand football is a team game.

And a sideways glance also at any Clemson fans who DONT understand to be undefeated in cfb requires more than a little "luck"
