That butt whooping was the beginning of the end of Tommy Bowden, and led to Dabo being hired as interim coach in the middle of the season. Without that butt whooping and the ensuing loss of players confidence in Bowden, Bowden may have or would have made it to the end of season. Which would have most likely taken away any chance Dabo had at the head coaching job. Who knows what would have happened if we ended up with a different coach. So thanks again Nick Saban. As crushing and humiliating as that loss was for us, it led to this:
