Tennessee AD Fulmer just said likely 25% capacity in the stadium

Aug 19, 2020, 6:49 AM

Tennessee athletic director Phil Fulmer announced that capacity will likely be limited to 25 percent this fall. At that limit, the Vols could be looking at 25,614 fans for home games.

My daughter plays in the UT marching band. Maybe they can spread out a little now!

What band?

Do you think they are going to waste capacity on the band when they can give those tickets to boosters?

I thought ACC said no bands on the field. Not banning them from the stadium.

I believe Bama announced a plan...

of 20% capacity and a ban on tailgating.

If Clemson opts for something similar, that would equate to approximately 16,000 per game.

Clemson, at the very least, needs to keep on campus tailgating even if the stadium is under utilized. I can't imagine having to park in town or on the 'far edge' of campus. Hardly makes it worth it at that point.

And if they don't ,do you plan on staying home.I suspect if you did have to park in town, some type of shuttle service would be provided.Just wear a mask.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ticket holders would still be able to park...

in the reserved lots even if tailgating is banned for the 2020 season.

They have had plenty of practice for 25% capacity over the last decade.

They can always consult with their fine feathered counterparts in Columbia on how to social distance in the stadium using the ramps for viewing and then added bonus of quick exiting in the 3rd quarter.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's a terrible idea. Keep fans away and let them play

Aug 19, 2020, 11:52 AM

on TV. Fans in the stands and the onslaught of tailgaters is going to endanger the players and end the season prematurely.
