Man, I wish that were true. But I know it's not. I guess he just meant that on kick-off's their not going to kick it out of bounds just because Ford & Spiller are back there. I believe that.

Agreed. I was thinking that he was lying to himself as he said that. Otherwise he's not going to last long by not planning to take individuals out of a game/stop what a team does best from a plays/scheme perspective.
I do like his honesty about it being a hassle following a Saturday game with a Thursday night game. Especially if it's important for the league, which it will be in some way. Way to put the league first, ACC. Jerks.

kick it to Spiller! Please, don't do anything differently to try and stop him. Please, prepare your team as though Ford is just another fast receiver. Etc., etc... I really hope you do ignore our strengths and just prepare for the game as you would any old game.

return the better. But if we have to rely on special teams to score we're in big trouble. Spiller has returned about 4 returns for a td in 3 years. I would like to see him catch some more passes. He seems to have very good hands and him and harper and ford on the field at once is hard to defend if we can block.

i remember a coach years ago saying the same thing about lawrence taylor. he only said it once.
