He's gotta start to be the no. 1 impact player in ACC. My guess would be a freshman from another school. Too much senior talent on the roster

"just because they're the most talented doesn't mean they'll start" rings a bell... But IMO he's the most talented of our QB's we just need to figure which one will turn out best.

So according to you talent has nothing to do with the whole equation? Really?? We get a once-in-a-lifetime QB talent, and we're debating as to whether or not to start him?? The coaches have already said that he has mastered the playbook. Only at Clemson would we be debating something like this. Insane!

Not sure why so many people are saying that Dabo only starts seniors. Boyd started for three years and Watson would have started for four had he not graduated early. If Lawrence is the best QB he will start.

Well, waiting to start the most talented may have cost us the game prior to Watson's first start (I believe it was either FSU or UGA). As good as Kelly Bryant has been, he did become a guy who didn't seem to make the most of the gifted receiver corps we had after his injury. His completions were very short dink and dunk passes, and he tried to rely on his legs to win. Alabama saw that, and whipped our butts as a result.

Really?? And what "senior talent" on Clemson's team is better ( at QB) than Trevor Lawrence? Short answer: None@! Face it and live with it.

Dabo and his assistants already told us that the most talented QB will not start. That means KB. He has seniority.

If talent was all that mattered every 5 star would end up in the NFL hall of fame. It doesn't work that way. Talent matters but some things come with experience.

These will be the starters according to Dabo's historical hierarchy basis for having earned the right to start
2018 KB, most senior QB
2019 HJ, He's a junior with one more yr of experience over CB.
2020 HJ. He's a senior and waited his turn, thus he earned it
2021 CB. He's a senior and he earned it
2022 TL, He's a senior and he earned it

I really admire KB, but did you happen to watch the Spring game?? Hello?? Players earn positions through performance, especially in crucial games, something that KB has failed to do. Totally exposed against Alabama, whose defense could run just as fast as he could. No effective passing threat. End of game.

"Earned?" ###? Are you kidding? Do you mean like in kiddie football?? At this level, we had doggone well play our best players or kiss our efforts at being a top program goodbye. How can a program like Clemson not play our best players?? Name me a QB on our team that even approaches TL in talent. "Earned???" What the hell are you talking about? Doesn't it have to be about talent?? ### are you talking about??" Are we trying to play big-boy football or not? This type of attitude consigns us to perpetual mediocrity.
