Sad when people can't get past their biases and politics. I'm sure every player on this team can get past the politics and just enjoy another experience because of their great play! So proud of our Tigers!!!

Get the government back to work doing their jobs. If you can't get the money to do what should have been done immediately after 9-11-2001, then just add enough people to our military to stand guard on our border 24-7 armed with what ever it will take to protect our country from anyone breaking the law to enter our country without proper credentials!!! As president, it is your sworn duty to protect our country, and if you are pushed to it with soldiers, then do it. Just cut the embarrassing waste of the politicians and use that money to build a wall along the border of the country that their people freely abuse the laws of entry to our country. Be sure to put censors on the wall with solar powered drones to take action against anyone violating the wall to enter!!!

I agree. If we had the wall, then those mexicans wouldn't have snuck in here over the border from MX, learned how to fly planes, and then crashed into the twin towers. Thanks a lot Obama! We should def spend 50 billion on this instead of firming up our educational system to complete with China, or have more missions to space, or any number of things. Stop taking away our dish washing jobs Mexico!!!

it's sad. I love mexicans and the wall ain't gonna stop em***

But it will stop them from driving truck loads of drugs across the boarder where there isn't a soul watching. I'm personally less concerned about Mexicans walking across the boarder than I am with all the drugs coming over with most of that money they're making going back into the Mexican economy!!!

they already have massive underground tunnels for that too

Jan 9, 2019, 10:21 PM

The wall is the biggest waste of money in history.

If you had a child killed by an illegal immigrant your attitude would be different. We need borders.

Jan 8, 2019, 4:15 PM

We have borders, more children are killed by citizens that illegal immigrants.

Statistically refugees are the most law abiding demographic segment of our population.
Clergy and priests commit more criminal acts per capita than refugees.

Most illegal immigrants in this country do not cross the southern border, they get a visa and over stay their visa.

If you want illegal immigrants to not come then arrest and jail all those who hire them. If Americans did not hire them they would not come.

If we didn't make it so easy to come in the two children who died as a result of the journey from central America. Politics has no place on Tigernet imo, but I can't tolerate idiot's who think immigration is not a problem. Don't blame the President for crap that has been going on far too long. Go Tigers!!!!

we have 30,000 kids a year killed in this country to gun violence by citizens, and you don't give a **** about it, so stop with the faux outrage.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Per Gun Violence Archive, there were about 12K

Jan 8, 2019, 6:04 PM

total gun deaths last year. Over 47K gun incidents. Most involved adults, not kids.

It's to many, and rising. But the 30K figure is a myth

Re: TNET: President Trump congratulates Clemson on 'incredible win'

Jan 8, 2019, 8:46 PM [ in reply to Re: TNET: President Trump congratulates Clemson on 'incredible win' ]

WRONG.

we have around 30k deaths due to firearms. Around 21,000 of those are SUICIDES.

Less than 12,000 deaths from gun crime, on average. and over 10,000 of those deaths come from stolen or illegally acquired/possessed handguns in inner city areas.

Do the math, that is .000032% of the population.

Not an epidemic under any circumstances. Anyone touting America as having a"gun violence epidemic" is either a massive idiot, or intentionally spreading misinformation to undermine human and constitutional rights of millions of law abiding Americans.

Lazy doughboy with zero morals and even less understanding of the value of hard work. Will be nice for him to meet the team and coaches and get a look at what real men look like.

Opposite? They are exactly the same. Both were outsides with no prior experience. Both fight a rigged establishment hell bent on controlling a fake narrative on a daily basis. Both are pro-family. Both are extremely outspoken and have done unconventional things no one thought possible. Both have beaten the pro-establishment opposition head-to-head. Both are making things great again. How ignorant do you need to be to see them as opposites?

"Pro-family" President has had three wives and cheated on all of them.

Haha, I'm just imagining a world where Dabo is actually anything like Trump

Jan 8, 2019, 9:40 PM [ in reply to Re: He’s like the anti-Dabo ]

Dabo can't join morning practices because he needs his "executive time," watching ESPN and rage tweeting about fake news.
Dabo makes up belittling nicknames for all of the opposing head coaches.
Dabo spends all of his time golfing instead of recruiting.
Dabo tells his players not to work out, because the body is a battery, with a finite amount of energy.
Assistant coaches quit on a weekly basis, Brent Venables writes a tell-all and calls Dabo an "idiot."
When reporters ask about holes in the secondary, Dabo launches into a 15-minute rant about his great, great 2016 victory (which was all thanks to him). Asks why reporters aren't talking more about Jake Bentley's emails.
Dabo dodging multiple NCAA investigations into flagrant violations. We're on the verge of having all of our wins vacated.

And of course, "Grab 'em by the p***y. When you're [head coach], they let you do it."

Man, we'd run a coach like that out of Clemson.

Sad!

Jan 8, 2019, 8:37 PM

The President of the United States congratulates our team and people make it political? Sad! Disagree with his policies fine. Want to vote for someone else fine. But it’s really cool the POTUS gave us a shout. Americans used to support the President regardless of party. But the media and certain people willing to burn it all down for their own gain have changed that. Thank you President Trump. Dabo and the team will see you soon. Go Tigers!

Re: TNET: President Trump congratulates Clemson on 'incredible win'

Jan 9, 2019, 10:15 PM

The congratulations of the team and visit to the White House are in general a symbol of the office and not of the person. The office of President represents the head of our country and should be respected regardless of who sits in it. There has never been a President on either side of the aisle that did not want the best for the USA. That might vary a little on how it is defined and vary a great deal on how to accomplish it, but that is why we vote every 4 years for the office. I hope that every young man on the team considers it an honor to be recognized and celebrated by the head of our nation. In many ways he has more important things to do, but it is a tradition to recognize greatness. For many years Presidents have recognized the greatness of soldiers, educators, entertainers, and athletes. They do this to show the youth of our country what can be achieved through hard work and perseverance and to show our country's piers that we excel at anything that we put our mind to. Take it for what it is worth, but if you have a problem with the accomplishments of these young men being celebrated by someone on this large a stage because your views differ on things that are completely unrelated to this football team, then I think that you have a problem.
