I think belk is a very talented DT from what I saw in HS and all American game. Def a big loss but what gets me the most about all this is, we could have prob landed another very talented recruit that would have stayed true to being a Tiger. Belk seems like he wanted to be at uscjr all along, why even waste both our team and his time by signing with clemson. His mom might be sick idk the situation but I don’t buy that as the reason he left for a sec. He was a coot at heart and couldn’t take it here, not meaning he was too soft or not talented enough but just couldn’t make it bc he wanted to be in Cola.

According to my Coot friends, he was lied to about getting early playing time before our DLine decided to return. Didn’t want to sit or be redshirted a year. Well guess what? Now he has to sit out a year for transferring. Solid logic. Only difference is he switched quality of programs.

he knows that he wasn't lied to...

[1]
Posted: Jun 9, 2018, 11:37 PM

But he did need something to move Dabo on the unconditional release... Dabo sees that his words are being manipulated, but he will not ever play that game... Dabo knows that twisting a man's good intentions only leads to a man reaping those seeds of manipulation... all he has to do is sit back and watch those seeds grow...

Stinks...

Posted: Jun 9, 2018, 9:32 AM

because the kid had real star potential. He apparently had changed his body, got rid of some of that bad weight that plagued him last year and was dominating in spring practice. There were multiple reports from our insiders that he was having his way with Carman (5* OL)... Hope he fails miserably with the coots, but wish he wasn't there, just in case he does turn out to be a stud...

Oh, why, because I have a 39% rating? Is that why you think I'm a coot? You see, I, unlike many narrow-minded and dense folk on this board, do not blindly follow the leader in ragging on a kid who our own coaches thought so highly of (they've literally said the same comments I did in my OP). I do not sunshine pump when there is but darkness, and I do not cry in darkness when the shades can be opened to reveal brightness. Many on this board cannot handle posts that aren't 100% pro-Clemson, or anti-scar because they are immature. Grow up bud. You're making Clemson fans look bad.

This is a Clemson board...

immediate gratification isn't one for the long haul. I hope this proves that way was well. Starting for a team that goes no where is not as good as being on a top tier team. Time will tell.

I prefer to see it all as a brilliant chess move by Dabo.

He saw that this kid was either lazy, a liar or was going to be poison to any team he's on, so he gave him the full release knowing he'd go to USuCk and continue to taint their program for years to come.

It's pronounced "L Heff A" and it means "The Boss".

program by taking up a spot in that small class. That's what rubs me poorly on this whole thing. Somewhere out there an 18-year-old kid, same as JB, is enrolled at their 2nd choice school because we don't oversign and instead play by the rules. It's not what JB did to Clemson or the fan base - we're larger than any one player - it's what he did to one of his peers by costing someone an opportunity to be here.

If he never played a game he is NOT a "Former Clemson DT".

I happen to have some insight on this

Posted: Jun 15, 2018, 11:48 PM

Belk committed believing he would start his Freshman year, but he started off so low in the rotation, he felt he wouldn't get any playing time. He wanted to come to Clemson to become a highly developed player, but he wound up doubting how much playing time he would ever realistically get. I don't blame him. He will get all the playing time he wants at SC, he just won't reach his full potential.
