It Seems like someone is making moves to get into Dabo and his family ears and hearts with how they would love it if he came back and took over for Saban when he retires. These things are happening now at their HS, no doubt they're trying to pull at the Swinney's heart strings hoping to pull them back to Alabama. This HS thing with retiring Dabo's jersey number is just happening now when Dabo's success as a college HC was happening several years ago. Strike when the iron is hot as they say, I mean it isn't like Dabo was an All American HS player, and retiring his number is what must, should be done!!!

I think you are reading it totally wrong. I think his home town high school is just trying to honor a native son for his great accomplishments. Nothing more ..... nothing less.
