They have some big bats but their pitching is not the greatest in the world .
So let’s jump on them, and hope they take us lightly.

Tech's starting pitching is actually pretty good. Relief pitching maybe not so much. Tech has more wins against the current top 25 than any team in the country.

They only have one guy with a sub 3.00 ERA but all three of their weekend starters usually go at least 6 or 7 so they get quality starts. They all also have very low walk to strikeout ratios so they don't typically give away free baserunners. With their hitting it's a pretty good recipe for success.

Case in point was the game tonight. Most of their hits were with runners on base and I think just about every guy that reached third scored because the following batter brought them around to score with SAC flies or quality ground outs. Whereas, Clemson had batters striking out with men on third.

I think their pitching does a good job of keeping the game close until their bats catch up and take the game over.
